For the purpose of protecting mill screens against wear in the mining industry, mill screens of various diameters such as 5800 mm and 3800 mm have been coated by CorCoat with NR- and SBR-based rubber. Subsequently, a curing process lasting 24 hours or more was carried out using the free steam vulcanization method.
The rubber coating has a hardness value of Shore A 55 ±5, with coating thicknesses ranging between 5–25 mm. This application, which can only be performed by a limited number of countries and companies worldwide, is carried out in Türkiye by CorCoat and exported to countries such as South America and Sweden.
